Les Menuires Resort Guide

1800m · 3 Valleys, France

Budget-consciousIntermediatesFamiliesValue for money

Les Menuires offers the most affordable entry point to the 3 Valleys with direct access to over 600km of interconnected skiing. While its 1970s concrete architecture divides opinion, the resort compensates with excellent slopes, modern lifts, and significantly lower prices than its neighbours for accommodation, food, and equipment rental.

The Village

Purpose-built resort centre at 1,800m with direct ski access. La Croisette is the main hub with shops, restaurants, and ski services. The newer Preyerand area has improved the village feel considerably.

Character

No-frills, excellent-value base camp for exploring the 3 Valleys. Popular with French families. Less international than Meribel or Courchevel but increasingly popular with budget-savvy British skiers.

Fun Fact

Les Menuires is home to La Masse, one of the steepest and most challenging runs in the 3 Valleys.
