Village & Character

The Village

Compact, car-free centre with ski-in/ski-out access from most accommodations. Modern buildings with a functional feel. Good selection of restaurants and bars, especially along Rue de Caron.

Character

High-altitude, snow-sure resort with a young, sporty atmosphere. Less glamorous than Courchevel but more reliable for snow. Excellent for powder days and big vertical descents.

Fun Fact

Val Thorens hosts the Andros Trophy ice racing event on a specially built track at 2,300m altitude.
